hello,
i've just joined this forum because I need somereassurance and advice.
I had a Massive bruise on my lower leg a week or so ago and it cleared up, but its left a small lump where it was. (its on my lower leg)
I always get irrational about the smallest thing because my mum died of cancer last year, and not only that....she used to be a nurse and comforted me whenever i had worries....and i need her to tell me its ok.
I found this. when i searched on google....and thats how i found this site...soemone had asked a similar question, but the lump was on her waist.
"Hello...It sounds like you have what is called myositis ossificans. Your blood has calcium in it, and sometimes when you have a bruise, that calcium in the blood becomes stagnant, and gets hard. It will eventually be reabsorbed by your body, so no worries. However, don't rub it or press on it to try to "break it up." That will only prolong the problem. Hope that helps!

Is that all it is?
id appreciate any reply.
thanks.
