Does anyone know if you can have an inflamed achilles tendon without injuring the foot or leg? My daughter's leg was hot to the touch, in and out feeling, swollen and tender to touch and hurts to walk on. She is only 24, but the doc said this DX. I don't understand when it hasn't been hurt. She was recently put on a heart monitor for one day for something they found in ER- she doesn't know what - had a CT scan with dye. She had an extreme allergic reaction and was on steroids for that. I just want to be sure to rule out a possible blood clot even though she is so young. She is stateside. She doesn't have money to follow-up on the ER visit that had the CT scan. She had passed out twice so work called the ambulance. Been very healthy all her life. I just need to be assured that a tendon can be inflamed with no damage.
Thanks to anyone who might know. This history wasn't really needed for the question.
