I am on 750mg Depakote (500mg night-250mg morning) and 1gr Phenobarbital (taken at night) daily.

What are the long term side effects of these drugs? Do they effect teeth and gums like Dilantin?

Just curious. I have been on both for over 6 months and feel fine. Was taken off of 400mg Dilatin because of raised liver enzymes. I have seizures (all grand mal) anywhere from 6-10-1/2 months apart. Luckily I always have "auras" so I know when one is coming. My auras start small and either get worse as I approach seizure, or go away. Very thankful for this.
