Hi everyone. Hope you are all doing well, and thank you so much for the wealth of information and caring that you have shared on this board.
I need your help! A neighbor of mine, 24 year old female, began having serious seizure problems six months ago. She had never had a seizure before.
At one point (early on), she spent several days in the hospital with a still 'undiagnosed illness'. She was kind of like in a concious coma for a few days.
I have seen some of you mention something that you refer to as "status epilectus". Is this a condition whereby a person remains in a seizure-like state for an extended period of time? Does this "concious coma" state that I mentioned sound like it could have been status epilectus?
If any of you have any information about status epilectus, or a web page link, I and the family of my neighbor would appreciate it very much.
Thank you in advance, and God bless all of you!

Hi. I don't know much about status epilectus, but I do know that it is where someone seizes continuously or on and off for an extended period of time. Here is a website with the info you are looking for. http://www.mynchen.demon.co.uk/Epilepsy/General/Epileptic_fits.htm I hope this helps and good luck to your friend
