I had a seizure in August, 2002 and had my driver's license suspended at that time.
An MRI showed that the seizure was due to an AVM (a brain malformation) that I had surgically removed in November, 2002. Other than a few seizures immediately after the surgery, I have remained seizure free since then. It is expected that I will remain seizure free but, as a precaution, I am on Depakote. My doctor has certified that it is safe for me to begin driving again, and I expect to have my license back by April or May.
Just yesterday, I learned that my car insurance company won't cover me anymore even though I have a spotless driving record.
Any wisdom on how to get insured again and how to get insured again at a reasonable rate? So far, I'm hearing quotes that are more than 2 times what I was paying.
Thanks, Susan
