Hi I am new also. I can't take the pill because I take tegretol, which lowers the effectiveness of the pill. I can however recommend that you try depro provera. It is a shot you get every three months and works with most anticonvulsants. You either get the shot in your arm or rear. Let me suggest the rear...it actually hurts less. It is 99.9% effective and most of the side effects are the same as the pill. Also after you have been on the shot for awhile you lose your period, which I personally love. This worried me at first. I was scared I might not be able to have children when I was ready but my doctor told me most women became pregnant within 18 months after stopping the shot. I hope this info helps. Oh and it is slightly more expensive than the pill but not by much. http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/wave.gif
