Soon I will describe my case. I wish to inquire if anyone knows anything about it, or if anyone has ever heard of this. I do not want to see replies about marijuana use, and please read it to the end, as you will see that this experience is not directly related to marijuana.
I am of 16 years of age. About 4 weeks ago, I smoked a joint before going to bed, as I have done many times before. About 10 minutes of lying in my bed, I started to get a really strange sensation that I havn't gotten in a long while - which I will discuss later. A few nights later, the same thing happened. Yesterday night, when I had smoked a joint nearly 11 hours before going to bed, I got the same sensation, though on a much less intense scale.
It's hard to explain what I felt, though I'll see what I can do with my vocabulary. My mind started racing, and I felt like I had so much energy - very similar to cocaine use sans the annoying physical side-effects. The feeling gets most intense with my eyes closed. Normaly with my eyes closed, all I see is simple darkness, though under this magic spell it felt as if I was in a pitch black box -- the darkness had an endless depth to it. Put yourself in a completely dark room and (hopefully) you'll know what I mean. During this sensation, my body felt Electric. My body also felt a little heavier, though I was in full control of it. It is not at all fearful, I actually enjoyed it, though I didn't enjoy it 8 years ago or so.
My family had taken me to Europe for the summer. It was my first night sleeping at my Grangmothers when I had one of the most fearful experiences of my life. I had woken up during the night, and I was very panicked. I had the sensation that I just described, though with a crazy twist. I was hallucinating as if it was a dream. I saw a great big boulder roll towards me, its size increasing as it approached. I ran to my mother and layed down beside her and held her hand for comfort as I was still hallucinating. She must have thought I woke up from a really bad nightmare. I didn't tell her what was going on, telling her wasn't on my mind. After the great boulder approached me, it got really big. Just as it was about to fill my field of vision, the whole thing just stopped and I was sane again. I went back to sleep later on without a problem, without ever telling anyone.
Some further information about me to assist in your anaylsis:
-I have had closed-eye visuals when I dozed off in the day, and sometimes in the car
-My first cousin has been recently diagnosed with schitzo, in addition to anorexia, at age 19 (though the lunatic is from her side of the family)
-I usually get excited when the sun goes down (i.e., when it gets dark). I sing along to loud songs and dance in my room. It may last anywhere from 10 minutes to one hour, more or less. This "mania" if you choose to call it so, does not Always happen as the sun goes down, and may happen at seemingly random times, and may fluctuate rapidly throughout the day (e.g., I went throught about 6 cycles of getting hyper and calming down in the span of about 4 hours about 4 days ago. This does not happen regularly!)
So my question is, has anyone ever had/heard of this sensational experience?
