Can someone please help to ease my mind? I havent been to the doctor to get tested for GERD or anything because I have no insurance and thats what we're waiting on. Well, here are my symptoms, chest pain, pain in ribs, back, armpit and left arm and sometimes sharp abdominal pains. Burning sensation all around my ribs, under my breasts and sometimes chest and back. Jaw and ear pain and I just feel sick most of the time. I am also having trouble breathing, sometimes I cant get a deep breath!! I do not feel acid coming up in my throat and my throat doesnt burn. I burp ALOT, even if I drink water. So do you think it is GERD? I have anxiety and panic disorder and I keep thinking that I have something more serious and Im dying so could anyone please help to ease my mind about this? Any help is much appreaciated. Thank you.

kinda seems to me like you've got yourself tied up in knots...indeed it could be "GERD" some of your symptoms sounds a whole lot like gallbladder trouble.you didn't say how old you are or if you are overweight which are risk factors for GB disease...however most of the symptoms could be attributed to anxiety and panic.....i used to get all the same symptoms as you and just kind of waited around to die...that was about 30 yrs ago...:p if you think it could be related to some sort of GERD, go to the pharmacy and pick up some otc prilosec and see if that helps...

if that fails to help at all, then i'd go see a doctor somewhere just to put my mind at rest if nothing else.

Thanks peace, I have been taking prilosec and it seems to help a little. Im 18. Im not overweight, I weigh 104lbs. I just cant wait to get to the doctor, this is doing my head in.

You must be a tiny little thing at 104 lbs!! I suggest that you seek out a chiropractor also. That would be the quickest, cheapest way to see if you get relief. Sometimes when your back is out, or you have popped a rib, those symptoms can occur. If you have anxiety problems, this can cause all the muscles in your body to knot up and pull things out.

I have similar symptoms too. All that you mentioned above. My GP told me that it is GERD, and I will be going to the Gasto in Jan to get more tests done. I am talking Prilosec OTC but not sure if it seems to be working.....

Hi I have all the symptoms you have, your say you have rib pain where is your rib pain is it near your gallbladder!!

I have had pain under the bottom part of my rib near gallbladder for a year now had a scan to see if I have stone it has come back ok, I also get it under my left rib not as often as the right side.

The chest pain and stomach pain I also get I do have inflammation of the duodenem, I take losec 20mg a day for that but still have pain.

the back pain is more at the bottom middle but some times i get it at the top middle.


What tests have you had???

Thanks for the responses :) Hypno, yea Im pretty tiny lol, My spine is crooked, as it goes up to the top of my back it curves over a little so I might have to see a chiropractor or something, I was supposed to get x-rays of my back because its crooked but I never got it done. Paul, Im taking prilosec too and it seems to be helping a little but I dont know. MADMAZ, yes I have the rib pain by my gallbladder and the other side aswell. The other day I think I was having gallbladder pain. I havent had any tests done yet but I will soon.

I have the trouble breathing 24/7 and it's due to Laryngopharyngeal Reflux or LPR. It's really debilitating. It gives me bad anxiety which then makes it worse.
Go to an ENT and have it checked.

Thanks for your reply alex! But I do not feel acid coming up into my throat! Do you feel it? Ive never felt it come up into my throat before. Could it be possible that it does it when im asleep because I usually sleep with my head flat and not propped up. I burp so much and sometimes when I burp a little food comes up and sometimes the top of my throat burns when I burp. I just dont know. Im going to get tests done ASAP.
