Achoo!

Is this a particularly bad cold/flu season? I have been sick a lot lately.

Two weeks before Thanksgiving I was sick with a really bad cold that lasted pretty much 2 weeks. Then I had just a cough that I had for another week.

Now, I am sitting here with another sore throat, stuffy/sneezy nose and a box of Kleenex by my side.

Normally, I am pretty healthy. In fact, the first cold last month was my first one in about a year.

I think so..I have my second viral sore throat now in less than 6 weeks...I am normally healthy too, before this recent bad luck, I hadn't been sick since January.

I just wanted to give some advice on colds real quick. I know I wasn't really asked, but whatever lol.

First of all, Puffs are soooooooooooo much better than Kleenex. They just are. Kleenex even irritates my nose sometimes.

Secondly, the best cough drops when you have a cold, or a sore throat, or congestion are mentho-lyptus Halls. You don't even feel like you have a cold when you eat them. It feels really good when you suck on them and inhale with a deep breath. Try it sometime.

And lastly, I don't know if you guys get this when you have a cold for long enough, but a lot of times my nostrils will get really dry and red, and the skin starts peeling. Sometimes I can't even flare my nostrils when this happens, because my nose becomes raw and it hurts. Sometimes it happens because I use something like a brown paper towel or a napkin as a tissue (when I run out of Puffs), and sometimes it's just because I've been blowing my nose so much. ANYWAY, Vaseline really helps (use it overnight) when I get this problem.

So yeah, I'm bored and just felt like talking, lol.

As you were...

Ugh! This has got to be the worst cold and flu season ever. I've had a sinus infection, a cold, laryngitis, and am now getting over the flu. My husband has been sick several times as well including a sinus infection that almost put him in the hospital. It seems like as soon as we get over one cold we get another one.
