hello to all i am new to this forum and im just looking for advice from others who have been in this situation that i am facing now...1 1/2 years ago i found out i have genital warts. i have a gf now for 3 yrs. thats the thing how could i tell her about it without her flipping out and leaving me. i tell her i wanna use condomns now but eventually shell question me so we used protection of course but in certain spur of the moments we havent. shes have 2 paps since and good..nothing, but im soo guilty!!im thinking she might be the one for me so i have to tell her but how!!??how can someone live life like this? or dating new people, how would u go about that, there gonna wanna have sex, but telling them will scare em, it would me, and then they would leave u. im my instance well eventually get married and have kids. u cant use protection for that duh but i dont want to spread to her or my kids. im just soo confused on what to do.i only had one break out since i knew but i just dont want her to ask me why do we have to use a condomn this time? u kno. to u married people how do yall go about this, do both of u have or just one does and use condomns forever to protect the other??? HELP me thanks....sorry so long

Hi Jay,
I don't have any experience with genital warts, but I do think it's important that you tell your girlfriend. Especially for your own sanity! The longer you wait to tell her, the more it will eat at you... and it may affect her trust in you, that you would keep something like that from her for so long. I'm sure she would not leave you for having genital warts, more likely it would be because you've broken her trust. So tell her. The sooner the better.

Hmmmm, just reading about genital warts.... You can still infect her even when you don't have any symptoms, and it won't necessarily show up on a pap test...

Soooooo, make sure you tell her. I'll be waiting to hear back :)
