Hi, I usually post on the colorectal cancer site as my husband was going through treatment for it this past year. We have made many new friends who we met during our trips to the cancer center for treatment. One of them is a woman who lives near us and is a frequent customer where I work. I saw her and her husband today and her and they informed me that her cancer is back. :eek: Her original cancer was ovarian. This time a spot showed up on her liver. She wanted to know if I knew anything about chemo pills which she will be getting this time around. She couldn't remember the name of the drug and said that they didn't ask too many questions while they were at with their doctor as they were a bit overwhelmed with the news. She had recently had her port removed as it had quit working properly the last time she had a chemo infusion so that may be why she will be taking oral chemo. She and her husband do not have access to the Internet so I offered to post to see if anyone has taken an oral form of chemo for mets to the liver and what can she expect for side effects. She could talk to the pharmacist who will be dispensing the pills, they should be able to talk to her and give her some handouts.
