My friend's 11 year old daughter has finally been dx with Raleigh Hemoglobin which is rare and found in people of South American descent. Her mother is American and father is South American. What little we know is that generations ago changes occurred in the hemoglobin of South Americans during a huge Typhoid outbreak. Other than that we know nada. Does ANYONE know anything about this? She is raising 2 girls with no help, no job, and trying to finish school. They have been through so much, and the internet provides a lot of mumbo jumbo but not so much info. Any info or suggestions to resources would be highly appreciated!!!
