I had the leep 3 weeks ago and have posted several times on this board. I was just wondering if the leep can delay your period. I was suppossed to start 4 days ago and haven't. I am cramping so bad that i have been in the bed and have no appetite. I read somewhere that someone had the leep and then couldn't have a period cause of scar tissue. Does anyone have any info on this? Thanks, Clare

Hi Clare, sorry you are in pain. Yes, cervical stenosis can occur, where scar tissue blocks off the cervical os and the menstrual flow cannot leave the uterus. Have you called your doctor? If you haven't, I think it's worth a call so they know what is going on. The LEEP can play havoc with your cycle, but I would still call the doc and let him know what is happening. I hope you feel better soon.

I agree in that you should call your doctor. Are your periods always on time every month? For me, stress (such as that from what we all worry about on this board, lack of sleep, etc.) can delay my period. Still, call your doctor so that you can have peace of mind.
