To anybody who reads this: thank you very much for you time, and any input will greatly be apreciated.

I am a 19 year old (and extremely worried) male. about 3 months ago i made the mistake of getting drunk and sleeping with a girl i hadnt known very long. i didnt use a condom for a couple of minutes and later decided i needed to put one on and wore it for the rest of the encounter. about 2 weeks later i noticed a rash on the end of my penis. from what i understand it didnt look like herpes. the rash almost looked like little pimples.(not a clear fluid like herpes) i went to the doctor and had a herpes culture test done which came back negative.the doctor also agreed it did not look like herpes. i was told it was a yeast infection and was given a cream. maybe a week or so later i noticed a big lump in my groin area. i went to the doctor and i was tested for bacterial stds and cancers. which all came back negative. i was given an antibiotic after the tests came back. after three days of taking the antibiotics the swelling went down. (total time the swelling lasted was almost 3 weeks) during this time i also had an HIV test done which also came back negative. but it had only been about a month and a half after the encounter. (which makes it invalid?) ever since i have been dealin with the rash which is hardly even bumps any more. just a bright red rash. it comes and goes but the cream seems to make it "calm down". it has almost been 3 months now and i have a slight pain in my left armpit. i cant notice any swelling in my glands yet but it seems that is where the pain is comming from. does this sound like a glad swelling cycle of HIV? is the rash and gland swelling related if its not herpes?

Also, i was so scared i went back to the girl to talk to her. she had an HIV test last year and it was negative. she also donates blood regularly. if she donates blood will they catch viral infections like herpes and HIV?

I am going to the doctor tomorrow for my second HIV test, it just takes a while to come back. I was wondering if anybody has a guess at whats goingon with me. again thank you for your time.

yeah well i understand your mental makeup...........but the presence or absense of symptoms are just not the way to evaluate HIV..........one can only do so by testing.....test for HIV antibodies 13 weeks post ur last questionable exposure.....& relax ur nerves after that if it's a negative...Post 13 week tests are considered conclusive unless you have any other immune hampering conditions which i'm sure is not the case with you....Discuss the problem with you Doc, & do as he follows......& yeah testing is the only way to find out!!!!

Well men can get yeast infections, just like women. Could it be some other type of fungal infection? It could be Syphllis but you said that you were tested for other STD's so if it was they would have found it. Does the rash itch? It really is hard to say what it could be. Doesn't sound like anything to worry about...just a minor skin irritation...I had a redness that some cream made go away...it scared the hell out of me but it turned out to be nothing...just please carry a condom with you wherever you go because I for one never learned from my scares and kept doing unsafe activities...a rash is nothing, please take heed and don't do that again!
