I read on the net how a swollen turbinate can cause head pain and also facial pain, it never say's though where abouts in the face it can cause pain. Can a swollen turbinate cause jaw(tmj)pain? I really want to know this and they don't know in the TMJ forum.

Mine caused pain around my eye. I think it is very possible it could cause jaw pain.

Thanks.

I had a appointment at the hospital today and i asked, I was told it couldn't cause jaw pain. I don't think he knows for sure though, I bet if i asked someone else they would say something different.

I was told also that my septum wasn't straight(which I knew)and he asked me how that happened because my septum was only corrected about 6 years ago. I said I didn't know because it's not like I've had an accident in that time or been punched etc. So maybe I'm right about rubbing your nose hard when it's really itchy because of an allergy? Maybe that can damage your septum? Because I can't think how else I could have done it.

Jaw pain can be a sign of inflammation or infection in the Maxillary Sinuses.
