View Full Version : 1st month clomid - BFN

This whole year I've been very optimistic about clomid - b/c I know I can get pg, but finally on it this month I really didn't feel like it worked during the 2ww and today SHE came, AF. I tested bfn on Sunday, so there was a splinter of hope until this morning. Arg.

We'll not do clomid this month because with the holidays we'll be traveling too much to do the sonograms & stuff. Then back at it in late January. I'm off to call my RE now. I'm not sure if they will want us to do timed intercourse again or IUI.

JustDance,

Sorry that it didn't work for you this month hon. AF really is an evil witch sometimes. Try to enjoy your little break and the holidays. Maybe it will be what it takes for your dream come true in 2007. Good luck to you and DH! ((HUGS)).

JustDance,
I'm sorry -- That stinks! I'm hoping that you will feel refreshed after the holidays and your break from treatment, and that 2007 brings you the little miracle that you so deserve!
Hugs and baby dust to you!

hi Justdance,

Sorry that AF came :( Mine came yesterday so I know how you feel. I have gotton pregnant before too. I don't know if you have any children but I miscarried. I feel that my RE has been less agressive in treatment b/c of BFP I had once...now a year ago. From what I can tell clomid is usually used for 3 months only. Have you gone more than that??? I heard you mention IUI since you have had a BFP you may want to try Femara first before going to IUI. It may be more cost effective if you have to pay OOP for the IUI. Good luck talking with your RE I hope your next line of treament gives you a BFP!!!!!

Thanks Holly, Cathy & Cubed for your support. I love this board. And congrats Cubed on your great news!

I don't have any kids, only pg once 2 years ago, which was tubal (they saved the tube). I'm still waiting for the nurse to call me back (RE is out) so I'm not sure the next steps, but I agree and am looking forward to taking this month off & just enjoy the break. They said only 3 months on Clomid, so I guess I have 2 more chances for my baby dreams. Well, there are other options, but I really think/hope clomid will do the trick.

JustDance,

I am in the boat with you! AF showed up today so it's obviously a BFN for me too.
Hang in there, our time will come soon enough!

((hugs)) (cause I know I could use one now!)
