myself and my partner where with diagnosed with chlamydia, we took doxycyline antibiotics for 7 days. this morning three days after i have finished the tablets i had a greenish grey discharge. we have not had sex since we found out. i went back to the gum clinic and they said that the chlaymdia will have cleared up but they have re tested anyway, and am now waiting for the results.
But at the same time the tests showed that i had BV. i have just been researched bv and it said nothing about a greenish grey discharge.
do you think the chlaymdia has not gone away? or is the discharge linked to the BV. i am just so fed up of feeling ill.
i took all the tablets at the right time, the only thing i didnt do is take it with a full glass of water, i just tended to have a few slips, would that have made a difference?
please help i am so fed up

Hi.. I am having trouble with chlamydia myself. I have read that the 7 days of medicine might not be enough, depending on how long you have been infected. I am having pain in my upper right quadrant and think I might have Fitz-Hugh-Curtis syndrome as a complication of PID. PID is a complication of chlamydia.
Chin up.. it might just need time...

my boyfriend and i were treated for chlamydia about 3 months ago, but I just took a follow up test last week that just came back positive. The treatment either didn;t work for me, or didnt work for him and he just gave it back to me. Either way, this means ive had it for about 2 years... is that a really long time? I'm in the middle of another dose of the doxycyline, i really hope it goes away this time.

I have had my infection since 2002. I guess anything over 6 months is a long time. It is important that your restrain from sex with your partner for as long as the treatment lasts and maybe even a few days after that. If one of you isnt completly cured you could be reinfecting each other.
Good luck again.
Good luck again.
