Is this normal? My almost 3year old complains about her stomach hurting about every day. She has about 2 bowel movements daily and has a lot of gas. Lately I have noticed that her stools are very soft and are green color (sometimes dark sometimes bright) and when I wipe her I notice a lot of mucus on the tissue. She is not eating anything different that I know of. Does this sound like it could be something serious?

I used to get to get stomach aches too when I was little. It went on for 7 years until they finally found out I was allergic to milk and corn. Get her tested for food allergies. I found that getting rid of all gluten and sugars is really helpful too. Make sure she doesn't have celiac disease. I hope this is helpful to you.

Thanks for your reply....come to think about it.... since I was pregnant I have craved starchy foods and now her favorite foods are corn and potatoes and since she was months old she has always been gassy. So this is something I might have checked out.
