I have had loose stools and flat stools for several months. Had a sigmoidoscopy and everything was fine but no change in bowel movements.

When I sit on the toilet and push it would appear that the flat stools are worse. Do you think an anal prolapse could cause this? I also notice a bulge around my anus when I strain. The gP said that some prolapse is quite normal though.
