View Full Version : I need help to explain to my friend about bipolar2...

Just this week I've notice I was on my last today of Tomapax ( it was prescribed to me as a mood stabilizer ) one day back and forth calling and paging my doctor, and the pharmacy I got no where until the next day - Therefore I didn't take my regular dosage for that day - granted I did notice a bit of a difference.

Well I was talking to my friend of 20 twenty years ( we know each other since we where 15 years old how we are 37-38 now) she went off on my stating I'm depended on these drugs and I don't have bipolar, etc. etc. I might also add - im in the very very beginning stages of pre-menapause. Oh lucky me!!

But I have been around other friends since I've taking these meds w/ effextor since Aug 06 and they told me they seen a difference in me.

But my girlfriend of 20 some years think its a bunch of BS - but i feel better - my mind dont race as much, I can sleep at night - the ADD is a lot less and I dont get angry as much - gee no I dont need the meds. Of course Im depended on them ! I dont feeling like that or being like towards anyone else..!

So do anyone of you have any advice I can tell my friend? and by the way she drinks a lot ( like the saying goes - calling the kettle black ) and she pre- judges before having any facts before her.

Thanks for reading and understanding.
