Not sure if I'm using the terminology Vestibular Compensation correctly, but from what I understand, the more you go about your everyday routine, your brain gradually begins to accept the imbalance. My question is, I feel like I've made attempts to do this, and my dizziness has improved, but I still have this "brain fog" and perhaps a very subtle movement when out and about. From everyones' experience, does this ever improve over time so that one is back to "normal" or is this the new normal for me? I realize that everyone is different, but I'd be interested in knowing.

Nan...I do believe my brain fog has lifted for the most part. I am over 4 months with VN and the brain fog was terrible for the past 2 months. Now, when I go in bad lighting...I get a bit of it...but it is better.
I bet yours will lift in time.

Hi Nanlev
......"does this ever improve over time so that one is back to "normal" or is this the new normal for me".....
As a person Dx'd with VN W/BPPV---it will not be the "new normal" for u---just takes time---it was the last to go(along with vision probs--for me)---but it went---for me---and I'm sure it will for u.

Thanks to you both. This board has been both a comfort and at times frightening to me. Esp the one posting I read about VN lasting up to two years. I can't imagine what many of you have been through and here I am having difficulty coping after only a few weeks.
