I have a really bad cold I have been coughing really hard alot & when I do that it just causes my head to hurt:(
The cold medince that I have tryed in the store hasn't even helped:( So I went to the doctor & the doctor said that my cough souned like bronchitis & got some medince & my cold is supposed to be gone in like 4 days because the doctor only gave me 4 pills. What if it's not gone in 4 days???
What else should I do about my cold???

Hi...I replied to your other post before this. Your cold won't be gone in 4 days, but the infection will be well on its way to being gone. Did he give you zithromax?

You could try using an expectorant such as mucinex....that can help get the excess mucus from your lungs and be easier to cough up.

Drink lots of water, and don't take too much medication with DM...it will suppress your cough too much...the point is to get it out of your lungs.

You should only use DM if you cannot sleep.

Hope you feel better soon.

How did u know that I had an infection??? Sorry just wondering.
I didn't even know that I had one but the medince that the doctor gave me was to help an infection.
What infection did I have???
The medince that he prescribed was Azithromycin.
I took the last pill today.

Anything green that comes out of your body is a sign of infection.

Um, well it might be gone in 4 days, you never know. Take the pills and have plenty of fluids. Have fluids that aren't freezing cold though. Maybe room temperature and rest alot it should go.

if the infection (phlegm) hasnt gone or started going by the time you finish your medication and either stays the same or gets worse then go back to the doctor!
