I just cannot believe that I am about to undergo my third surgery on this foot! I know a lot of people are worse off but I am scared nonetheless!! I don't know if the 1st mtp fusion just didn't work (that's what the xray shows) or if there is a problem with the screws!! I wish there was a crystal ball that could say what the problem is!! I have been on this board for over a year now and have followed the stories of so many of you! We all will get sorted out and get on with our lives eventually. I think of all of you often and really value your support!! I just wanted you all to know! Merry Christmas to all of you!
Sophie:angel: I will post after my surgery on the 2nd of January...Happy New year!!

I am sorry to hear that. I had surgery a few years ago on both feet, and I remember reading your posts. I'm too scared to have surgery again even though my feet are worse than ever. You are very brave. I wish you all the best with the outcome.

Sophie,
I'm sorry you have to go thru this again. You know we will all be here for you. You have a lot of people in your corner. You will be in our prayers. There are only a few of us oldtimers left. Just know that anytime you want to panic, vent, cry, or just have a pity party, we are here for you. I hope that you can still have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Mary

Hi there and just letting you know that we are all thinking of you and like Mary said, there are a few us left from the past and we are rooting for you and hope the surgery is a "simple fix" that will result in a faster recovery! You have been through a lot and pray you have a good outcome. Happy New Year!

Sophie,
I read your recent posts and I am soooo sorry about the need for another surgery! When I had a non-union about a year ago, I felt pain when walking on my foot but didnt have much swelling. I just knew my foot had not healed. It sounds like you have the same problem! Remember, this time your os is using a bone graft and that (although scary) will probably make a huge difference. You might also want to think about a bone stimulator- if your os would prescribe one. It cant hurt!
What day is your surgery? I will be sending you positive rays of healing!
Surgery is scary!!!
Diane
