View Full Version : Undiagnosed for a year!

For the past year I have suffered with a multitude of symptoms. Main one being when I lay down I get extreme pressue in my head, lightheaded, numbness in parts of my body, have trouble breathing. When I lay on my side, within minutes I feel like I am going to pass out. Basically I feel like everthing is being drained out of me and I get completely weak. I can barely even talk when I am horizontal. Once I sit up everythings gets much better, but not completely. I am dizzy/lightheaded all the time. When I stand I feel that there is so much pressue in my head. Over the past year I have seen many doctors and had many tests. Xrays of the chest and head. MRI of head, neck, spine. CTscan of head, abdomen, pelvis. Numerous bloodtests. EEG, EKG. Everything comes back normal. I am most comfortable on a solid chair, kind of leaning forward. When I am sitting on a soft surface it is worse. For the past year I have slept in an upright position when I am able to sleep. Because of the dizzyness I have not felt comfortable driving. I can barey walk around for more than a few minutes before the dizzy/lighthead and nasea kicks in. I also have a huge bulge in my abdomen that is painful and hard. I had a CTscan last week (with no dye). It came back normal, they didn't see the bulge, however it is clearly seen and felt which is why the surgeon sent me for the CT in the first place. I am not sure if this is the cause of all my problems. Can anyone help??

not sure what's wrong with you. I have been having some of the same symptoms, and have also went to numerous doctors, and had many many tests done. I'm now being referred to a headache specialist. I hope you get an answer soon.
