I have PCOS and I've been on birth control for 3 months. I didn't start my last pack; we thought we'd see what nature would do. It's supposed to be harder for women with PCOS to get pregnant. I should've started AF on Saturday but she has yet to show. I'm usually pretty regular cycle wise. Should I take a HPT or wait? I'm doubting because I really don't think it would be this easy.

Wait 4 or 5 more days then take a HPT. The results won't be any different today or next Saturday -- either you're pregnant or you're not. It's much easier on me emotionally to have my period come than to get a negative on a HPT.

I took a HPT and its a BFN. Twice. I won't see my ob/gyn until end of January. I dunno whats going on :confused:

I dont know the medical reason behind it, but a few years ago when I decided to quit the pill, it was several weeks after my last pack before I started a normal AF. I had spotting on and off, my doctor said it was because my body was use to getting the BC and the 'aid' in having a normal AF, and when it took it away..it was momentarily confused as to what to do. That's how she explained it to me, so that I could understand. ;) Good luck!!

That makes sense. I decided I'll probably call my doc on Tuesday just to see what he says. Your answer is probably what i'll get from him too ;)

No need to call doc now. AF arrived bright and early this morning. That just means I'm in the running for this month too!!

HURRAY!!!! :bouncing: :bouncing: I'm so glad!! thats what happened to me. December was the 2nd month in 2006 that AF came to visit!! i was so excited! kinda funny :D being excited for her!!! We just bought a new bed....gotta break it in sooner or later ;) When my sisters found out that I hadn't had periods all my life, they said 'man that'd be nice' but they don't realize the opposite end of it either!!
