Early this morning I woke up with a terrible headache in the top (mostly in the front) of my head. It was kind of weird. I get migraines (once a month), but this was different. It was both sides of my head on the top and felt like a "wave" of pain going through. I'm thinking it may have been a seizure that I caught before it generalized to a TC. I immediately took my morning dilantin and some aspirin and benadryl and the pain subsided pretty quick - within about 45 minutes(almost went away - but my head still reminds me of how bad it was).
I'm having quite a bit of stress lately and this may be a trigger.
Any advice? (other than going to neuro - that's later this week)

I get a headache which is in my left Temporal Lobe. It's about the size of a plum and I wonder the same thing as you. I go to see my Dr on Wednesday, so I'll let you know what she says. Plus the only time that I do get the headache is when I'm under stress also. Goodluck.

Lainie,
I saw my Dr yesterday and she wants me to have another MRI/MRA done. She just wants to make sure everything is ok since I haven't had headaches before. Just wanted you to know.

Lainie,
Here's a thought: Has you diet changed any recently? Are you taking in more carbohydrates than usual? (Wheat in particular). Sometimes foods with "gluten" in them can cause headaches. Just a thought.
Well, be that as it may, if you are having these more than just occasionally, you ought to keep a log for a month or two. Daily record information like: seizures (all types-- auras too), your food intake, how well you slept, wjere you are on your menstal cycle, if you got any exercise, your mood or if you were stressed that day (scale of 1 to 10), if you took a dose of meds late.....anything that may have an effect on your seizure activity....auras included.
Might help you pinpoint the culprit. Maybe you are allergic to red dye, gluten, dairy products, chocolate, etc....
