I think I may been exposed to Herpes and I'm trying to determine if I may possibly be having a first outbreak. I was possibly exposed about a 2 weeks ago and right afterward starting having pain when urinating.
My tests came back negative for Gonorrhea and Chlamydia but my discomfort still continued. In the last few days I have had a slight irritation in my genital region as well as what feels like a strained or aching groin. I have also noticed from very faint red lines possibly lesions but they were so minor it’s hard to tell, could have been just dry skin or irritation from something else.
If anyone has had aching in the groin related to Herpes does it feel like a muscle strain.
I’m also totally stressed out about this and having trouble sleeping and lots of anxiety so I’m sure this could be contributing it. I have no visible sores or blisters to date but just wondering if others have had similar symptoms with their first outbreak.
From a testing standpoint I know you should wait 12 weeks for a blood test. If you have had an outbreak will the antibodies have been developed and show in a blood test before the 12 week period. Is there any data that says the antibodies generally show in the first 4 - 6 weeks.
Thanks.
