I have been on Wellbutrin XL for 1 week and I have a very sore throat. I weaned off of Prozac prior to the start of a new med.

Did anyone else get a sore throat side effect from Wellbutrin? If so, how long did it last? How sore should I let it go until I seek help/or consider it an allergy?

I have never heard of this symptom. Are you sure you do noy have a cold or the flu?

Sore throat is listed as a side effect, but not a common one. Today I can hardly swollow water and my throat looks like strep. Off to the Dr. tomorrow morning.:p

When I started Nortriptyline for migraines I had a sore throat side effect, but it was just that. Went away within a few days, this is way more than that.

I am prone to any ear/throat virus going! Yuk!!

Sportbikechic, I just started WBXL and I have a sore throat too. I did not have one before the XL.
