hey guys! Have any of you heard of dental fillings causing seizures?? I've been on the computer for hours!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I guess some fillings are made of mercury, which can seep into our bloodstream and give us problems. all i know is, tomorrow i am calling my doctor for the blood test. for the articles, i went under goggle.com and typed in mercury fillings seizures. i hadn't heard of this and thought since i hadn't maybe some of you hadn't. never hurts to check out all possibilities!!! it was amazing as to what all was listed as some of the problems. just a thought, another light at that never ending tunnel!!

This is an old debate. It is well known that mercury is a toxin. The question is what about fillings? Today, dentists are using fewer and fewer mercury/silver fillings (they are becoming very expensive, and the newer materials have some advantages). The amount of mercury that leeches out of a dental filling is rather small. The more recent mercury / silver fillings are 'wet'. They contain more mercury than the older ones (this is to cut down on the silver, which is more expensive. The 'silver' in mercury/silver fillings is not pure silver. They actually have several metals in them).

If you wish, you can have your mercury/silver fillings removed, but it will be expensive, and you need to take care that chuncks of filling or dust from the drilling don't go down your throat during the process of removing the old filling.
