View Full Version : Ovulex and more questions

Hi guys, I'm new to this and I have a couple of questions about this product I'm researching. It's called Ovulex and it sounds too good to be true, but on the same token, when you have are TTC, you are kinda willing to try anything.
Here's a bit of my story for you. I used to be very irregular, then my dr got me on birth control , my cyles got regular, I got off the pill after 7 months, and I have been regular since then...on and off really... for about a year .BUT my periods are very, very painful. I got an HSG done a while ago to rule any problems out. Everything ok on that...Dr told me I might still have hormonal imbalances. My husband has a low sperm count but his dr told him he has enough to get me pregnant...nothing has happened yet.
I will ask my dr on my next appt. about Ovulex, but I was wondering if you guys had any success with this product. I used to keep a calendar, but after so many disappointments, I'm almost ready to quit the whole ordeal. I guess Ovulex would be the last thing I try.
I have a couple of questions:
* How long will the birth control pill stay in your system?
* If I do have hormonal imbalances Ovulex might help...did it help you on this aspect?
* If you are using Ovulex, do you still keep a calendar to pinpoint your fertile days or just go by your CM?
* Are the components in Ovulex harmful to a fetus in any way? What about your body?
* Have you tried the Clearblue Easy Fertility Monitor to make things easier? The whole calendar thing was driving me insane, and I'm thinking about getting the CLearblue to give it a shot.
* And one last thing. I work with sprays and paints, and I read an article that says these type of chemicals can affect your reproductive capabilities. Do you have any info or experiences related to this?

Lots of questions, sorry about that...
Baby Dust to all of you

Hi Nativity

Welcome, sorry, I've never heard of this either but feel free to ask away with the questions.

Hey, you know, I just came across ovulex today when I was doing some googling! You're right, it does sound kind of too good to be true, but I guess you never know. If this 3rd IUI doesn't work for me, I was debating on the options of IVF vs. injectibles, but maybe I'll take some time and save up money and try the ovulex.

Sorry I don't know anything about it, but it would be interesting to me too if anyone has tried this.

I will do that!
I'm still debating on that. I have an appt. on the 29th so I can ask my dr and I'll let you know...but I can't wait!
Thanks for all your answers and I will keep you posted!
Oh, and I will check out the Amberoz as well.

My BF is taking Amberoz to improve his #s. He started it a little over a month ago. We don't know how/if it's working yet, but we have a 2nd SA scheduled for the 2nd Saturday in January. If you're interested, I'll let you know if there was any improvement. We're really hopeful  .
