If you all remember, I called the national toll free number to get a status on my claim and was told that I had been denied.
Well, not only did they tell me that it had been denied, they also told me the date that it had been denied and that it was at my local office and that I should call there for more info. They also told me the name of the person at my local office that was handling it.
I called the local office and the person that I spoke with also said that it had been denied and it needed to be "written up" and sent out. She told me that she would get an appeal packet in them mail and would also ask her supervisor for permission to send me copies of the 2 CE reports. I never received anything so I called them back the next week. At that time, I was informed that I should disregard the denial because it had been sent to Quality Review.
Yesterday, I called to follow up and see if there was any news. I was told that it is unusual for a denial to be pulled for review. Usually it is the approvals!
What should I think of this??? Should I be hopeful???
