i have posted on here awhile back in june, all my replys made it sound like i was seriously ill. well back in august i went to the emergency room, my body had a weird 'meltdown' and they did a cat scan and it was fine, so i understand cat scans dont see it all, but wouldnt it show a little something if there was a nerological problem? i do have anxiety but sometimes i dont know if this is all anxiety. i am planning on going to my doctor again, but i dont know what they would do for me? some of my symptoms:
arm/leg/chest pains
stiff legs and arms
cramping feeling or a 'growing pain' feeling through my body
my heart will suddenly do a weird heavy beat in the middle of my chest
weak feeling in my arms and legs
i will sometimes get a numb spot on the top of my head almost aways in the same place.
sick to my stomach alot
etc

i guess i am going to the doctor again because my body feels alot more tired, stiff and weak. i understand these symptoms could be alot of scary things. i have had all heart testing and its fine. so can anyone give me some ideas as to what it could be? i really dont know what to tell the doctor to check for? otherwise i can function pretty well in life its not like i actually am weak, i just very much feel that way. i'm just worried i may have something serious, but i am only 18, so could all this be anxiety? if anyone can steer me in a direction as to what my problem could be because i duno any of the nerological problems out there! i am just scared that i am doomed and i wont wake up the next day like my body will give out because i am letting this go

If you really want something a bitmore specific, ask your doc about doing an MRIon your brain and c spine.some of the symptoms you describe could also be related to a possible nerve or sympathetic nervous system problem.this is just one possibility since it can have an effect on the heart rate and rhythem.mine did this after my spinal cord surgery damaged my sympatheic nervous system.you can get aches and all kinds of different sensations from neuro problems that could be stemming from the c spine area inside your neck or even in the brain.but these would be pretty rare given the symptoms you described.a CT would not pick up on all of the soft tissue structures within the brain or the c spine, thats why an MRI would be a much more definitive tool.just something to discuss with your doc.i wish i could give you more help than this but your symptoms are pretty vaugue so it would be hard to really pin point anything right now.

any actual Dx of anything usually will take testing, time, and patience to just test for things in order to rule them in or out as a possibility.this "could' possibly be related to some extent to anxiety but i never like to lump anything under that catagory til other things have been at least tested and ruled out,ya know?but just having a good honest talk with your doc and asking him about having that MRI would be a good place to start.good luck and please keep me posted on how things are going.marcia

Have you ever been tested for low intracellular magnesium? Not just serum magnesium, but intracellular magnesium. You might try doing some reading on intracellular magnesium by Dr. Mildred Seelig. She was the world's leading magnesium specialist.
