Hi there,
I'd like to know, what are the best ways one can maintain healthy heels?
How do you 'correct' a pronating foot and walking gait?
Every time I walk long-distance (like if my bike gets a flat tire), I feel like I set back my achilles heel again! I wear orthotics.
I really want to know what I can do myself to heel my heels. :)
Thanks

I had a Achilles Tendon rupture 6 months ago and had surgical repair with a donor tendon. I knew for months before my fall that my heel pain was serious. Doctors told me I had the tightest heel cords they had felt. If I had it to do over I would have gone to PT and learned preventative exercises to strengthen my tendon. There are great websites which give good info-just google achilles tendon. Wear supportive shoes, orthotics, massage and exercise.
