Had high risk exposure with a club girl 4 years ago..Always practiced safe sex except this incident:mad:
ARS - Sore Groin a day after, purple rash on chest 2 or 4 days after, fever a couple days after.. i don't remember any other ARS after that but it could of been light and went unnoticed.
-Blood in the stool a handful of times.. last time was about 2 months ago .. could it be from CMV??
-always had a problem with my fingers.. numbness and tingling.. but it was light so it wasent a problem at that time..
But this past 2 weeks have been an attack of symptoms.. i think i could have established HIV
- Extreme fatigue
- Muscle twitching.. more than one muscle part of the body..
- Numbness and tingling in the fingers every morning ( 2 weeks and counting)
- Diarrhea or other bowel changes
ive been a chicken **** to go take a test.. But i did.. just a couple days ago i went for a test for a full physical check up.. STD,EMG,everything..
missed the call of my medical center.. the lady leaves a bridge jumping message!
"We have your blood test result right now..The doctor would like to discuss this with you.. PLEASE return to the medical lab for your results and *pause* we don't do THIS over the phone..."
Happy holdiays everyone!:(

I can understand why you're nervous from that phone call; she should have been more caring of your situation. IF you have a positive test of some kind, and you very well may NOT (the chance of catching HIV through one exposure is tiny), no one has the right to judge. The best thing to do is go to the doctor and find out whatever it is ASAP, IF THERE IS EVEN ANYTHING TO FIND OUT! You cannot diagnose anything through symptoms, anyway. Your symptoms don't sound like anything serious to me.
Also, remember you had a lot of tests done, and many things are curable or if not, everything is treatable in some way.
I hope everything is okay; you deserve good health and happiness, and I'm so sorry you had to get a phone call like that. She acted unprofessionally, and you might complain to your doctor about that.
Good luck to you, hon, and if you need support, I hope you will post on these boards. I will be thinking about you tonight and say a prayer (and I very rarely pray, but you should not have to be going through this :(

Dear Shy-Boy: First of all, any "HIV symptoms that you 'think' you have are not (repeat NOT) going to show up within the time frame you described. Therefore, nix on the sore groin and fever two-four days post-exposure. The sore groin could be a muscle and the fever could be coincidental to the experience. "Blood in the stool" is not a symptom for HIV but is a symptom for bleeding ulcer, diverticulitis, diverticulosis, polyps and hemorrhoids.
YOur most recent "symptoms", what you refered to as "an attack of symptoms" are also consistent with many other issues, especially anxiety, which seems to be the emotional state you are currently inhabiting.
Now about the doctor: when you went for your physical check-up, you mentioned STD. STD, as in STD panel? Did it include HIV testing?
As for your encounter with the person from the doctor's office: in the US the physician cannot discuss HIV results over the phone (this is because while they may think they have the "real" you on the phone, they can't be certain that it's not someone claiming to be "you".) So, go to the doctor's office or clinic and find out your results. (I'd go first thing, to hell with other people in the waiting room. And, since this is New Year's weekend, there's no telling what time they'll want to get out of there.)
Can you elaborate on your "high risk exposure?" chris

Really hope things turn out alright for you, think Chris is right whatever the result they cannt possibly say over the phone. What if you have a new girlfriend and you were just having a test to be safe, she comes home and hears a message saying your HIV is all clear. You may be free of HIV but you wont have a girlfriend. Also as Chris said you may have lesser STD, which can be cured.
I speant most of last night on the net, in England its far more serious than Canada. The figures i found last night for my region, nearly 21,000 men hetrosexuals were tested in 2005, out of that just over 50 were positive. Now take out of that the hi-risk ones, immigrants or obtained it from abroad.
Im getting tested, for my peace of mind, im s**t scared. dude. Also remember which ive accepted, if you are, the quicker you get on meds potentially the longer you live!!
Best of luck!!!!

Thanks for the support guys... The exposure was vaginal intercourse. i am sure she has slept with many guys. clubgirl in a foreign country. i was drunk out of my mind.. but what's done is done.. Lets assume she had HIV+ whats the chances of female to male transmission?
Yes i had an HIV+ testing.. they used 5 tubes for my blood test..
btw they called me 2 days after my testing which can also mean something is wrong...

Typically, the female to male rate of transmission is lower is probabilities than male to female. THat means that it is difficult to transmit female to male but not impossible.
The amount of blood they take to do the HIV is inconsequential. I wouldn't even begin to use that as a measurement of your status.
You were going to contact the doctor today. So, what's up? Please keep us informed. chris

i did not go yet.. waiting till after the new years.. sorry guys but bare with me.. i am a chicken ****
after i got the freak call from the lady ..i was immature to call the std clinic and booked an appointment for HIV+ ..but it usually takes about weeks before you can see a specialist anyways. so this is just incase i do have HIV+ i can see a specialist .. i already booked an appointment.
well yesterday was by far the worse day for symptoms.. can it be anxiety and stress?
-Muscle twithcing to the extreme ( can this be from muscle wasting?)
-Extreme fatigue.. (laying in bed all day...)
-Urinating more than normal.. about 8 times
-numbbing on fingers like usual
-first time i got a night sweat.. not extreme just can feel a bit on my forhead..
well guys.. i will go see my results soon.. but after new year.. if i have this virus.. i promised myself i will live to the fullest hopefully.. but if i don't have this man am i gonna cherish LIFE..
regardless of outcome.. i will donate money to HIV foundation.. i hope there will be a vacinne in the near future!
I hope everyone has a great new year
Much love

shy-boy,
You have only ONE thing on your plate now...getting the results.
There is no point to going over symptomatology, or type of exposure, or likelihood of ARC outbreaks in the past, or even the tone of voice of the phone message... it is all water under the bridge.
I think the odds are good that everything is fine and waiting is just prolonging an unnecessary Hell.
If you get a likely negative result then remember the torment you are going through the next time you feel tempted to go bareback.
