View Full Version : Felt almost OK last night...

Ok, I am almost frightened to say this...but I felt almost normal last night. The fog lifted, my woozyness was a bit there but not much...and the dizzys I could not notice.

I walked a mile, closed my eyes...moved my head up and down...felt ok.

I visited neighbors, laughed...man, I felt like I did before all this happened.

This morning...head pressure/fog back, but not as bad as usual.

I just had to let everyone know.

Doing my VRT's and Vor's religiously...and walking....

Charlotte, I'm glad to hear Dr. Maxwell's group (Paul) are helping you. I was amazed at the progress I was making although it did take a while. I hope you continue your recovery. I can't help wondering how I would be feeling right now if I hadn't had a migraine disrupt my recovery. My understanding is that I need to get this under control first before proceeding forward with VRT.

Skipper...

The office has helped. I am not at 100%...still some brain fog/pressure...but nights do feel a bit better.

I think we might start up a suppor group. I told Paul, we need one...

What do you think?

Charlotte, I think that's a great idea. Unfortunately, we don't always get good information from our health care specialists and it seems many of us need support from each other, sometimes that's how we gain knowledge as to where to turn next in our quest for feeling 100%.

Hey Char67,

You are going great! You will get there, we all need patience and it doesnt last forever. Many people also have metobolic problems that cause inner ear disturbances that they dont know. I know several people that either cut out salt, sugar or both and eliminated their dizziess or their unbalanceness. You should get out to the stores, it is helping me so much!!! Walk up and down the aisles and move your head alot!!! GREAT VRT!

Also, Skipper you may have MAV...Migraine Associated with Vertigo. You may want to get that checked out.

Wednesday night I got a HUGE headache, dehydration I think played a roll. During my 4 hour pounding headache I decomped a little, but woke up the next morning feeling GREAT! Even went to the mall shopping. Better then I ever have. I only have a little bit of bouncy vision left and I actually can sleep in now...before I was up at 430am every day! Now 7-730am...which is sleeping in for me. I hope my progress continues....it seems likes its gradually fading and thats what happens with this inner ear crap!

Jax...thanks so much for the support. I do need to go shopping more. I spent 2 hours in bad lighting yesterday...and paid for it today. However, I do know that it was better than when I started.

How long have you been dealing with this?

9.5 months...

and you???

Just about 5 months. I plan to work on my diet starting next week. Also joining the gym....

I am going to beat this darn thing.

Do you have labs or vn? Did you have vertigo to start or how did it start for you?

The doc never diagnosed me with labs or vn...it started with a virus that I caught from a dude at work..i was sick for about 2 solid weeks with a nasty cough. Then a month later I woke up with unbalanceness, foghead, vision problems...then a few days later I got BPPV....doc just said that a virus could have caused this and gave me a paper with VRT exercises. I did have an ENG and my left ear was a little weaker then my right...

I keep myself active and move my eyes around alot on my walks...it helps!!!

How did you get yours?? For 5 months, you are doing great, really! Just keep active...it is fustrating, I get very angry at times, but if you let this thing get to you, you wont recover. You have to be strong and want to recover. Yes, you will have bad days or periods, but the less and less you get, you are getting better.

Jax...I believe a cold or virus. I woke up (at the time 8 months preggo...so I assume a compromised immune system)...feeling "off". Took a nap later in the day...and woke up with full blown vertigo. Went to the ER and they sent me home telling me it was a virus.

After a month...went to a doctor here that specializes in the dizzys. Have been doing vrt's for about 2 1/2 months. I have noticed improvement. I could never enjoy taking a walk or even bare shoveling my drive way a couple months ago. I can bare to go food shopping now, and actually hold a conversation in the store (when I started, I would have to make quick shops and would feel sick afterwards).

I still am off...but can do more...that gives me hope. It is really the visual crap...ugh.

do you have sound sensitivity???

charlotte67

At first, yes. Now...I have wierd ear feeling at times...like they are full, or wooshy. comes and goes...

What is your visual crap like?

Jaxzilla

My sound sensitivity comes and goes.

I have bouncy vision, but its alot better then it used to be...a few times last week, I had clear vision, it was so nice, i felt normal!!! And when i turn my head left or right, or up and down, the speed of it is fast, but its almost to the norm...

Jax, I had souns sensitiveity at first as well. I remember being at work when beeps, bells, etc. would go off and I would be the only one appearing to be in pain from it. But, like Charlotte, I get an ear fullness now.
