i have been getting a curtain closing down over my eyeslike im blinking all the time and green flashing lights. i phoned the er eye hospital and she told me it was either detached retina , inflammtion or neurological. but it most fits with a detached retina. she told me to come in the morning as i was ill and more specialists are there but im feeling that the problem wont be there in the morning?

Hmm. Dont know whether to tell you to hope its a detached retina, or not! Im assuming you have a definate MS diagnosis? If so, then you may be right, the problem MIGHT be gone in the morning...get a really good nights sleep, if you can. ON the other hand, I did have a detached retina a year before my DX of MS. I have, to this day, NO IDEA how it happened. THey asked me, did I hit my head? Did I fall? No..no..no. However, I wound up having laser surgery to reattach it..and believe it or not, it was nothing! I was terrified...however, the actual procedure wasnt bad at all...the pain afterwards was minimal...kind of like having "something" in your eye for a day or two...with rest, it went away and I never had another retina problem.
Funny though, for the past few days, Ive had horrible pain behind my right eye and went to see the Opthamologist today. He referred me to a NeuroOphthamologist and I cant get an appointment until February. We'll see what that is all about..
But anyway, I wish you well, please let us know what happens. Ill be thinking of you.
hugs,
Nikki

Zorm, I think you should do what "feels' right to you..if this is painful, and if it is scaring you, you should take action immediately. IF you think you can live with it until morning, still try to get some sleep and reevaluate then. THere is no way any of us can tell you what to do because we arent you, we dont have your pain, issues or concerns. But, we are concerned about you. You have to make the decision what to do...but whatever it is DO NOT PANIC. Weird symtoms or legitamite concerns, stress makes EVERYTHING WORSE, especially if you are experiencing MS stress..
Try to relax for now..and keep us posted.
