my pain management dr rxed me. all three of those the 1st time he seen me (I have bulging discs in my neck/ lower back and a messed up jaw). But i had a bad effect on the methadone ( I felt like i could be wreckless and not get hurt on it). so I asked the dr to stop the methadone after 4 mons. so he got mad and quit rxing me all of it. he started me off on 120 methadone and 120 oxycontin and 90 somas a month then stopped it cause I didnt went the methadone....Isn't that a little weird? I got real sick after that and now I just hurt so bad I want check my self into the ER but dont think they could help either....I just dont know what to do. Im inbetween drs cause Im gonna go to a new one now but he cant see me until feb. 2007!....Is that weird of a pain management dr to do? or is that some sort or malpractice?

if you have any way of bringing your documention on your condition to your ER they should be able to assist you until you can see your new pain management doc...I have had to do this myself when I dumped my old pain management doc.Also if you have an appointment card or letter that you could take with you it would help to show that you are trying to keep up with your health and not "looking for drugs"...where I live sometimes you have to do that to show you really need help...hope this helps some.
