I recently was diagnosed with HSV-1 genitally & orally. Since then Ive had numerous OBs genitally and on my face. My new BF has HSV-1 (he is not who infected me). My question is, can I give him a genital infection, if he's never had one, but has had oral HSV-1 since he was little?

While the odds are small, and him having a preexisting case of Oral HSV1 will help protect against Genital HSV1; yes you can still give him a genital infection. It's best to avoid sex when you're having an outbreak.

how long do you think you should wait untill after an outbreak to have sex again? im assuming that even when the sores have healed and gone there will still be some time to wait to make sure its gone??
ive just had my first outbreak and had only 3 sores that healed pretty fast (only 4 days) and i have waited another 4 days to make sure they have def gone...i cnt even see any scaring... do you think its ok now? im not in any pain anymore.....
