I've had an explosive cough that wakes me in the middle of the night, every night for about a year straight now. I wake up coughing so hard I almost vomit. Sometimes I do vomit up greenish-gray stuff. It's so annoying and it interrupts my sleep every night until I have a cough drop. Sometimes for over 30 minutes. My lungs hurt. When I did have insurance (about a year ago) I had my chest x-rayed and the doc said I was fine. Sometimes this cough is accompanied by clogged up ears and nose.

I am a smoker (but have never had this before), I don't have insurance, I have never been DX with Ashtma before but have gotten inhalers for broncittus. The inhaler doesn't work.

This is like nothing I've had before. I almost wonder if it's from mold on my ceiling and in my bathroom? I have a mold spot that's about 4 inches by 4 inches in my hallway right outside my bedroom where there was a huge water leak in the upstairs apartment.

Any advice would help!!!
