I've suffered with migraines off and on for about 10 years. Someone I worked with about 7 years ago told me about Excedrin For Migraines (not the regular Excedrin).
I bought some it worked and has always worked on those in front cluster type migraines for me.
They've woke me out of sleep and I don't like light or loud noise when I have one. The Excedrin For Migraines usually knocks them within 15 minutes for me.
Have you tried that?

I have been on several different types of presciptions and none has really worked very well for me either. Do you get any type of warning when you are about to get one? I have found that if I take two Excedrin (either the Extra strength or the one the PP just mentioned) along with a Coke (or anything with caffeine) and a benadryl or a dose of Dimetapp as soon as I get the distored vision I can stop the nausea, vomiting, sensitivity to light and noise and really lessen the pain. If you do not get the warnings you might still want to try it. I am pretty convinced that the Benadryl is what stops the other symptoms. I have also found that as far as the pain is concerned a squirt or two of nasal spray can help.

Excedrin is an over the counter medication. You only take it when you have the headache. It is not a preventive. You could still try it and if you have the other symptoms I would add the Benadryl too. Some people do respond fine even when they don't catch it before the pain hits.
