Hi My wife and I are trying for a child and it's frustrating that I'm not into making love like I used to be, in fact I've lost most all of my interest and this comes from someone who used to have a possible sex addition!
I take a day
Amitriptyline 150mg
Oxycontin 80mg
Tramadol 400mg
200mg of Topamax
5grams of Clomazapam
And most recently 10mg baclofen tid.
I think things have got worse since I started the baclofen, but it's really really helping the spasms that were destroying my life; but before this it was a chore to get erect.
Any advice on all this please as we'd really like a child :-(

Hey blaster,
Amitryptilene frequently causes erectile difficulties and Oxy and all other opiates/opioids cause testosterone production to decrease. I have not personally experienced difficulties with Baclophen, but I only used it for a brief period.

I didn't Know Oxy was a problem. I went up from 60mg to 80mg a day a few weeks back also!

I think anyone on the list of drugs you take would most likely experience the same problem. Anytime someone adds any form of medication to their body, you have the chance of increasing this potential. Of course unless you are taking a drug for that very purpose (i.e. viagra).
Have you thought about any of the medication your taking causing a defect in the child if you were to get your lady pregnant? I was just thinking that the induction of these meds in your body just might be able to mess up your little swimmers and cause defects.
I'm not sure at all, but I think I would be asking my doc first before I went to the stage of wanting to get her pregnant.
I would also see if maybe adding a impotence drug might help.
It's nothing to be embarassed about of course.

I asked my Doctor and there's only about know 5 drugs in the world that can mess up "my little swimmers, lol." :-)
