I was wondering if anyone knew anything about inflammatory breast cancer. I have been reading up on it. I have a bruise like rash on the underneath side of both my breasts. The rash isn't risen or anything, it is more like a dark discoloration and you can see all the tiny little blood vessels. Has anyone experienced a rash like this. The rash looks like the one under the IBC sites but this is the only symptom I have.

Also the rash comes and goes, it isn't there constantly. Sometimes it is dark while at other times it is lighter almost not visible. If anybody may have something similiar any information would be appreciated.

I go to my GYN doc for a follow up because I just had a hystercomy so I am going to ask him about this but I am very worried.

Thanks

In 30 years of doing mammography I have only seen two. In both women the breast was swollen, hard and had skin looking like an orange peel all over the breast. The other breast was normal and she had no fever. The swollen breast was more dense in the mammogram. It can be difficult for the radiologist to diagnose off a baseline or first mammogram. However the technologist should let the radiologist what she is seeing.
Having said all tha,t if someone has a heart condition and sleeps mainly on one side, the breast on that side maybe enlarged due to fluid caused by the heart condition.
