The other 2ww thread was getting long, so I decided to start a new one. Looks like I just started the 2ww today. My O was a little bit later than CD14 but my cycles are almost always 28 to 30 days. So I'm hoping I won't have to wait the full 2 weeks to find out. Whose with me? Anybody just starting or about to start the 2ww?

Hi ladies! I hope you are all doing well. We have been on a "break" through the holidays. (no meds, shots, etc) Although, I do believe I have been "O" the last few days. The only thing I am doing this time is taking the progesterone from day 18-28 just in case. (that is in 2 days) So, keep your fingers crossed! I think it would be cool if we conceived naturally. I have an appt with RE tomorrow to discuss our options. The nurse told me last week that I can only do one more cycle of Clomid, or we could try Femara. RE also suggested doing IUI, but dh is not wanting to do that. It is so confusing with all of this infertility lingo and not knowing what to do next. I am hoping we can try naturally for awhile, but I do want my RE's opinion on this. My last mc was due to dropping progesterone and supposedly the Clomid and shots help that????? I took the progesterone then and it didn't help, but they think it's because it wasn't given soon enough. Anyways, enough rambling.:D Best of luck to you ladies! I haven't been on in a few weeks, so I am still catching up!

Hi Holly,
Congrats on getting your double lines finally! I hope this one is it for you.
I am "unofficially" in the 2ww. We didn't do any meds/IUIs this time and were on a break but we tried on our own anyway. I doubt that will work for us but you never know, right? If I don't get AF by Sunday (it's due Saturday) I will POAS. I will be on vacation though and probably won't have access to a computer. Whatever the result is, I am going to be going through major withdrawls not being able to tell you all! Do you think a cruise ship as internet access? LOL :)

Lahc,
I think that it is great that you o'd on your own. Maybe this is a sign, that you can ovulate on your own. I hope this cruise turns out to be a celebration cruise. And yes, ships have internet access.

Thanks, Amy. I hope so too but I have always been able to ovulate on my own and it's never happened before. We're unexplained infertility so nobody knows why it never works. But who knows, maybe it will be a celebration cruise. That would make my New Year!

Welcome to the 2ww Julie & Lori! Glad you could join me :D :D We are trying naturally on our own as well. I just had my tube unblocked (although it still has other issues) so we are really hoping and praying for a miracle. I've been on the boards since June or July and this is only my first 2ww! All the other cycles we were busy diagnosing and treating. God, I hope this works!
Praying for miracles for all of us!

PS...Lori, enjoy your cruise!! We are going on one in April and I'm hoping to be suffering from morning sickness instead of motion sickness ;)

I'm in the 2ww again. I had an iui today and will have another one tomorrow. I was feeling a little discouraged this cycle because there was only one follicle, but today when I had the u/s done it showed that i had one the was 38mm and to other smaller ones at 16mm which she said is still good. The

Welcome to the 2ww Leslie and Crystal! I hope we all get BFP's this month...Wouldn't that be wonderful?!
I've been very calm so far, which is surprising. I'm not good with waiting for results, and know the 2nd week is going to be really tough. I was feeling twinges yesterday and I want to think that's a sign, but I know better than to read into early signs...they could mean AF is coming too...So, I'm just trying to stay relaxed and see what happens. I don't have too high of expectations cuz my dr doesn't, but I can't help but hope. And boy am I hoping!!!

Hey everyone! I officially joined the rest of you today in the 2ww. Our numbers weren't as high as we would have liked, but it only takes one, right! I had my ultrasound and HCG shot yesterday, so we figured we had nothing to lose. I am scheduled to go in on the 19th for a pt, which is different than last month because she had me test at home. When they have you come in to the office, do they usually do a blood pt or how does that work?
I wish all of you the best of luck! I'm praying that all of your dreams come true very, very soon!!!;)

Hey, it's been awhile since I posted, but I am almost ready to start the 2ww. I have my 12 day u/s tomorrow to check follicles. Last time, I was ready on day 12 and got my shot and had IUI's the next two days. I really hope this cycle works. This is our 3rd and probably last clomid/iui cycle because my RE wants to have a consultation to disccuss next steps, so we'll see.
Kathy, I just wanted to comment, my RE tells me to call them two weeks from my IUI if AF hasn't arrived to schedule a pt. But these are just urine tests, and then if it's positive, they will confirm it with a beta. I know a lot of people get beta's though so every Dr. is different I guess!
Good luck to you all! Start this year out right with a whole bunch of BFP's!!!

Well, I'll be a little delayed in entering the 2ww. I had my appt today to check my follicles, and I had 3 main ones, but they were like 14, 12, and 9mm, so I need to wait a little longer. I guess my lining is thin also. The RE who saw me is having me start taking baby aspirin. (I guess this is supposed to thicken your lining?) Also, he is going to have me start progesterone after ovulation. I'm kinda disappointed, but then also a little relieved that he found it and explained stuff to me. My normal RE doesn't explain stuff very well. Hopefully this combination helps. I'm just worried that it's too late now that just a few days of taking baby aspirin isn't really going to help much...I guess we'll see though!
Good luck everyone!

Only one more week for me too. I FEEL more optimistic this month (2nd month of clomid) than last. I remember at this time last month my dh would say "are you pg?" and I honestly had to tell him that I didn't feel like it, I didn't feel anything. But this time I feel more going on in my middle region. Hard to describe but just little twinges or mini-sensations every once and a while. True it could be all in my head, but I can distinctly tell a difference from this month & last when I truely felt nothing and knew that it didn't work at that time.
Wishing you all pounds of baby dust.

Oh Leslie, I hope this is your month too! Good luck testing!!!
So, I don't know what to think  . I have been feeling twinges here and there for a couple days now (some of them were actually painful). I wrote them off as nothing knowing that I can't trust any 'signs' this early. Of course, in the back of my mind, I have been terrified that we did get pg and it is going to be tubal again...the twinges/pains are somewhat similar.
Well, yesterday I went pee, and when I wiped there was some brown (almost looked old) blood on the paper and nothing in the toilet. I kept checking all night, and I had convinced myself it was implantation bleeding! and I was starting to wonder if implantation bleeding would occur with a tubal pg (for some reason I don't think it would) and I was starting to get really really excited.
Then this morning, there is still some blood...it's still dark, but maybe not as dark brown. It's also still only on the paper and not in the toilet, but what if it is AF and she's just taking forever to get started???? It is similar to spotting, but it's soo early for AF! I haven't said anything to my BF yet. I just can't get his hopes up if this cycle turns out to be a bust.
What do you guys think? Anybody know if implantation bleeding would occur with a tubal? Does this even sound like implantation bleeding? I mean, I think it does, but how long does it last?
Sorry for all the rambling and all the questions. I'm losing it! With practically an entire week to go :dizzy:

HPT this morning said . . . . . . . . . . . . . BFP! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! :blob_fire :blob_fire :blob_fire I have an appt for 10 this morning for a blood test just to be sure. DH is a country singer/songwriter and I went and asked him this morning if he would like to see 2 pink lines. For those that don't know, there is a song by Eric Church called "Two Pink Lines". It talks about two kids, just out of school, waiting on the results of a pg test and they are "just sittin' 'round waitin' on two pink lines" Of course their two pink lines are a negative. So DH said "why would I want to look at [I]two[I] pink lines?!" then he saw it was two for pg and he has not stopped grinning since!

Holly - I'm sorry to hear about the spotting becoming heavier, but who knows, maybe it is implantation? I don't know because I've never had implantation bleeding, but then again I've never been pregnant! Hopefully it is implantation though and you will get your BFP!
Leslie - Congratulations! I hope your beta numbers are nice and high!
As for me, I will be joining the 2ww! I had another appt today, and my follicles grew to 19.7, 17.6, and like 16. And the baby aspirin worked to increase my lining to 8mm. So my Dr. said the first two are big enough. I had my HCG shot this morning and go in for IUI's tomorrow and Thursday. He also has me starting progesterone on Friday night... not really looking forward to that, but I'll do whatever it takes!

Hi!
Yes, I'm in the 2ww but not getting too hopeful :(
I had my IUI done last fri as the Opk was positive...i was on cd12 which I thought was odd since I've never gone in that early before. (They sent me to get my progesterone levels checked that day too) (On Mon, they called and said my numbers were too low so i wasn't ovulating on fri when my opk said i was)
So, after my IUI the dr. told me to keep testing with the opk and for 3days after it was still positive..and then mon night I had my usual bad ovulation pains..i called the next day...they said to come in Wed (today) and they'll do an ultrasound...well of course..there were no follies and I already ovulated.
We're hoping that dh sperm from fri was still around for Mon. ovulation and of course we dtd everyday.
Sorry for the rambling!
Take care and be back later!

Alright so I'm finally in the 2ww, although this is really the long part I guess! I had my 2nd IUI today. I was kind of disappointed. My DH's count was the lowest it's been. On Wed, it was 64 million 91% motility (which was his highest) and today it was only 20 million 98% motility! My RE said that was still fine, but it was just disappointing after having his highest count yesterday! Oh well, if the Dr. still thinks it's ok, then I guess it is. My main concern is because when he had his sa done, it showed low morphology, so I don't think the washed count's take in to account low morph. Does anyone know if this is true?
I have a pt scheduled for 1/25 at the Dr.'s office, but I'm sure I'll break down and do a hpt before then!
S&J - Hang in there! You always hear stories of BFP's happening to people when they are least expecting it, so maybe this is your cycle!
Good luck and lots of baby dust and prayers to you all!

Holly, I'm so sorry to hear about your possible early AF - I was hoping to test around the same time as you early next week and hope for both of our BFPs, who knows - it sounds similar to Dee's last month early AF which ended up being implantation bleeding & now she's pg w/twins!
Anyway, I have been feeling twinges & tugs in my middle region and my breasts are full & tender (but that happens every month just before AF), other than that, no signs so far that I might be pg.
Here's my fear...since I'm on clomid & likely have more than one follicle, what if one fertilizes & implants in the uterus, and another fertilizes & implants in the tube like before - that would be my absolute worst case scenario, because I believe they'd have to do surgery & would end up causing the good one to be destroyed. I know I sound really pesimistic, but I've just been thinking about this this month - haven't said anything like this to dh, no need upsetting two people for no reason. I really should wait until Tuesday to test, but not sure I can hold out that long. Wish me luck.

Hello! I'm feeling ok S&J, thanks for asking. Nothing really special going on. I was having really bad hot flashes at the beginning, but since the IUI's, I really haven't felt anything. Well i broke down and tested last night and this morning...both times there was a very, very faint pos. line. I tried not to look too hard b/c I thought I might create an imaginary line but, no it's there..i had dh even look and he saw it right away too. I'll be testing tomorrow and hope the line is darker and will be going in to my Dr on mon to pee in a cup..and get a blood test.
I'm not suppose to test until mon anyway, but I never wait that long. I'm not going to get too excited until i see both lines the same color or from the dr. office!
Alright, everyone take care and be back soon!

S&J, that is awesome! If you are testing early, that's probably why the line is so faint, but any line indicates traces of hcg = pg. :blob_fire
Sorry I didn't post on this thread earlier, but it was a BFN for me a couple days ago, arg. Just came back from a baseline sono with my RE - she is so great and I always come out of my appts with her so positive & optimistic.
We're going to do IUI this month w/clomid, and if this doesn't work - injections the next month - which she said has a 20% chance of twins - I'm totally fine with that.

S&J... what cd are you on? I am in the same boat as you, sounds like. I am wanting to test so badly but I am trying to hold off until Monday, the 22nd, because that will be cd 32. I think that I ovulated on cd 20. My temp. dipped and I had a positive OPK on cd 19. We have had a problem with me ovulating so I am praying that if I did this month, that this will be the month for us. I have been having some symptoms but not quite sure if I should trust them or not. I was just wondering where you were in you cycle, S&J, because you have had a faint positive line and I thought that maybe I could possibly get one too, if I tested over the weekend. Was your period late yet? I can't ever stand to wait until mine is late and most of the time don't even know whether it is late or not b/c cycles are so irregular. Were you having symptoms before you tested? If so, what were they? Let me know, if you have time.

Just Dance- I'm sorry to hear about your bfn :( I hope this next month it works!
ALM- my cycles are between 24-35 days...so I ovulate between day 12 and 20....i had my IUI this month on day 12 which i thought was too early but sperm can stay around for up to 72 hours..so obviously it worked :)
Anyway, i'm currently on cd 27 which makes it 15 days past IUI....and for my period being late--no i tested before. As for symptoms--my pms symptoms have always felt like pregnancy symptoms (with ds I spotted and even went out and bought pads etc, b/c I assumed af was here--i even cried) but while I was buying the stuff i thought i might as well get a hpt for the next month..which wasn't needed in the end).....sorry for the rambling---symptoms--just my usual headaches, had a couple days of nausea, not sleeping through the night, and having crazy dreams. And, the feeling like i was getting a cold.
This morning i tested again and the line was still faint..i was hoping it would be darker but maybe tomorrow!

Thanks so much for responding, S&J. I am sure that if you have had three tests with faint pos. lines then you can get excited! Although, I remember with my dd, I was still denying that I had gotten pg. until the dr. did a test on my first visit. It is unreal when you have been trying so long. I am wanting to test so badly. I am having the same symptoms you are having, especially the crazy dreams, so vivid. I am also not sleeping through the night really well. I don't wake up completely and get up, I just wake up and then slowly fall back to sleep. My main thing is I am no nauseated. I feel like all I want to do is eat so that I can keep from vomiting. I think I may pick up a hpt tonight at the store when I go. Wish me luck! I will be thinking of you Monday for your doctor's visit.

As for me...I know it's way early to be testing (10dpiui), but I was at the store yesterday and though, I'll pick up some just in case for later on, but of course I'm weak and I heard one of the sticks calling my name this morning! :) There was a faint line, but I couldn't tell if it was just really faint or if it was maybe an evap line. I asked my husband, I mean the line was definitley there, but I couldn't tell if it was faint pink or if it was grey. I asked my DH and he had a hard time too. Right now, I'm just going to tell myself it was an evap line. I figure I'll test again in a couple of days. I'll of course update you guys.

Part of you wants to believe that this will be the month, but at the same time you're afraid to get your hopes up, just to be disappointed again. Who would have thought that our lives would revolve around our cycle day! :dizzy: Dh and I have been ttc for the past 2 1/2 years. So far I have had 2 IUI'S, and initially our RE said we would give it 3-4 tries before moving on. I need to call tomorrow and find out if that's still the game plan. I'm not on any meds or anything; last cycle she did an ultrasound to verify ovulation, then she gave me a "trigger" shot. The following day I went in for the IUI. Dh has good sperm count, but morphology is below average. NP said she likes to have 10% for IUI and the first time he was 9.7 and last time he was 6 something. She has had people end up pregnant with 2's and 5's. So what have you tried so far in your ttc journey? I wish you the best! Who knows, maybe a BFP is just around the corner!

Blueyedsmarty-
I will be praying that you get a BFP on the 31st, and that you won't even need IVF. I understand what you mean about the unexplained IF being so difficult. If you have answers then at least you know what you're dealing with, and then maybe it can be fixed. The NP e-mailed me back and she wants me to begin my OPK'S on the 31st, in preparation for another IUI. So, maybe next month!
