I am scheduled to have surgery in the near future. I seen a local OS the middle of December and I have been refered to a foot and ankle specialist for additional opinion on a bone spur and scoping of my ankle. My date with the specialist is not until the end of January, should I keep off the ankle until that time or can I just limit my activity?

I guess it all depends on what is wrong with your ankle to begin with and why you are having surgery. If limiting your activity isn't going to cause any additional damage, then there is no need to stay off it other than pain relief.

My ankle was scoped with an OCD and for a bone spur and I had no restrictions between appointments and surgery (it took so long to get an appointment there was probably 10 weeks between initial diagnosis and surgery). It all depends.

Good Luck. ~eko
