Does anyone experience chronic pain. Now I have had muscle cramps, severe spasticity, but the pain in my legs has went off the scales the last few days. Can't walk, can't stand, sitting hurts.I'm taking valium, vicodin, zanaflex baclofen, lorazepam and nothing is touching it.
Its a burning pain from the waste down and Lord for bid if anything or anyone touches my legs.
I soaked in a hot tub with epson salts, got about an hour of releif.I've tried stretching,I've tried heat .I've tried ice.But nothing has even made the pain bearable.Short of an emergency room,I'm at my wits end.
Any advice will be helpful, don't mean to whine, but I'm miserable.

my pain is chronic as well, i do not complain, so no one knows i am in as much pain as i am in, i don;t see any reason in complaining and making other miserable when nothing can be done,, i started seeing a pain specialist last spring,, it has helped alot,, but with MS it blows too, cause the meds he put me on, we had to build up on,, somdays it works wonders,, other days it doesn;t do a damn thing, somedays it's too much and makes me feel stoned out of my mind,, never use heat from the waist down,, myself i can not do heat with the MS it makes me really sick and i can not see hardly out of my right eye makes me light headed and i need to cool down quick like! i use flexall,,, actually i started using Rite Aid brand Pain Relief Gel and it works wonders! i take my pain meds every 8 hours, and at night about 9 i take my 20mg of baclofen muscle relaxer rub in that Gel on my joints and legs and thats eases it up so i can sleep at night,, the past few nights i haven't been able to fall asleep and stay asleep, but i think that may have just been the holiday excitement. try some of that gel,, i used to get the Flexall at walmart, but it's too expensive for my pocket,, it's about 7 or 8 dollars and the rite aid brand is only 6, but it lasts me for about a month,, i really hope that u can try it and it works for u! good luck!

I have severe pain that starts around my hip area and goes down through the side of my lower leg. I went to an ortho last year and was told it was a ruptured disc in my lower back. I had a steroid injection and it was wonderful for about 4-5 months. But it has come back in full force now!! It hurts when sitting, standing or lying down and I have a hard time getting into a position to make it bearable. Feels like, and probably is, nerve pain and can be excrutiating.

Toradol makes it better and doesn't make me feel drugged.

Feel better soon.

Lisa,

I have had 2 lumbar surgeries and just had yearly check-up on that.Everything is intact and the screws and bars are not impinging on the nerves a EMG and NCV last week confirmed it.
Its more than likely flair-up 101,its going along with other symptoms appearing.I'm gonna call neuro in the morning.
