Hey all,

In short, I will be leaving home for 6 months very soon (Jan 20th) and have some questions that I need to have answered to make me a little more comfortable about leaving.

I have had digestive problems for a while now, probably going on 2 years. Over the summer usually when I went it looked fairly normal....I did see blood on the stool a few times but it was usually with a really big one that i had to strain for (there was also some bump that went away that was in my rectum, I'm guessing it was filled with blood and finally 'popped'). I did deal with a couple weeks of herendous diahrea but that eventually went away.

Now I'm at home, just graduated from college, and have had a hard time finding things to do. This has made me very depressed and anxious. I've actually lost all desire to eat anything (which is very scary) but I know it could be caused by depression. Now that I'm home my stools are much more small and narrow, but it seems like randomly I will have a day where it will be significantly bigger, then go back to the way it was. Does anyone have any idea if this could be IBS, or something worse?? I would appreciate any help you could give me, because I haven't been able to find it anywhere else. Thanks !

These bumps may have been piles. If they were small and went away then i wouldnt worry, however if it happens again i would go to the docs incase you have any internal piles. You may have stressed related IBS. My advice to you is to watch what you eat and find an activity that will let you exercise and burn off some stress.

It is difficult when you leave college and find yourself thrust out into another world. My boyfriend went through the same thing. It took a lot of arse kicking to finally make him go and find a job. You need routine. I find if i am off uni i get bored very quickly and find myslef sleeping in late etc. I feel awful because i have no structure to my days.
Go find somehting to do. Volunteer somewhere but just find structure to your days :)
