When I stand up from either a sitting position or lying down position (whether i get up slow or fast) I start to see swirls of gray and black ...it fades a way after a few seconds. (It doesn't happen everytime but quite often) It also hurts a little. I read that it could just be not getting enough oxygen to the brain or something. Is this something to worry about or normal? Thanks. :)

Could be low blood pressure (which is not such a bad thing).
Do you exercise regularly? Like at least 20 minutes 2 or 3 times per week?

The condition is called orthostatic hypotension.
Everybody experiences it from time to time, but other conditions could make it worse, such as blood pressure that is generally too low, low blood sugar, heart conditions, vitamin/mineral deficiency, etc.

Alright Thanks.
Also I wanted to mention that I get dizzy. I don't know if that is part of it. But I get dizzy right after that happens (of course it's probably because I can't see! ha) But I've noticed that I loose my balance sometimes. Not to the point that I will fall but I'll lean to the side and catch myself. It's more often than not. Thanks again for your help!

Read up on the condition. Your symptoms are normal, but seem severe.
As I say, they can be exacerbated by other things. Do you eat properly or take vitamins? Iron deficiency, for one, would make the condition worse. If you don't think you're getting the proper nutrition, try taking a multi-vitamin for awhile to see if that helps. Do you have normal blood pressure? Do you eat way too much sugar?
In the meantime, get up slowly, in stages. If you're lying down, sit up, then stand up. Lean forward from the waist if necessary.
