2 years ago when i was in school there was a paper sticking out of my closed locker and my friend tried to grab it but he hurt himself doing it. I was confused as to what the paper was so then I grabbed for it and I ended up getting a minor cut from it because of a staple on it. Now, I'm not even positively sure if it cut my friend too as it could have just poked him or something. I asked him if he had HIV but he said no.

I am 16 now and the memory of it seems to be bothering me more and more each day. Should I be this concerned? How much money does it cost to get tested for HIV?

I would be shocked if you contracted anything from that instance.

Do they really sell at home test kits at walgreens? How do they work? Do you have to draw blood? How do you get the results?

Yea he said he wasn't HIV + but thinking about the incident still makes me shiver. Recently I had a blood test for my calcium level and how my thyroid gland is functioning. Would they have noticed HIV in my blood if I had it?
