I have been reading some of your posts and it sounds like our situations are very similar. I had my first abnormal pap in Oct of 2005. I was at the beginning a pregnancy so all the dr did was another pap 3 months later just to make sure the first one was correct. The next pap was still abnormal so 3 months after having my baby I had another pap which was also abnormal. So then I had the colposcopy which showed mod. dysplasia which led to a cone which showed mod-severe dysplasia. The problem with the cone was that the margins weren't clear. I just had my follow-up appt yesterday and my dr is recommending a hysterectomy too. I am 36 years old and I too have 3 young kids. So my point is, after all that I have read online and discussed with my dr I am pretty sure I am going to go ahead with the hyst. What have you decided? |
