Well, I went to my appt. yesterday & not so good news. They did a bladder scan & it read 587 & the nurse to me to go pee again. I tried & managed to squeeze a bit more out & they did it again and it still read 518. I don't feel like I am that full or that I have to go. Anyway, the neuro. came in & said that due to me having a neurogenic bladder & the meds not helping as much as he thought they should that he is insisting on self catherization. I said what if I just delt with the wetting myself & the bed & opted not to do it. He explained that that was not an option at this point due to the damage this was causing to my bladder. He had the nurse come in & show me how to do it & really it's not as bad as I thought it would be. The only down side to it is that I have to do it 3 times a day. I have an appt. with my neuro. on the 17th and he said that he will let him know what is going on. I'm so sick of being in limbo land!!!!! I don't wish to have ms by no means, but maybe this will help me get one step closer to a dx. so I can get the treatment I need.

Agravy,

Wish your uro appointment was better.Bladder problems and MS can go hand in hand.I have had flair-ups that I get no for warning that I have to go.Hopefully the self catherization will be short term.
When I was going through limbo land.I think it took its toll.Sometimes the worrying, stress and anxiety was worse than some of the symptoms and made some symptoms worse.
MS or not, hopefully this next neuro appointment can give you some answers that can lead to a proper DX.
